These principles apply to profiles, discovery, connection requests, messaging, events, reports and future community features.
Privacy first
Do not request, expose, misuse or trade another member’s private or sensitive information.
Be genuine
Use honest profile details, suitable photos and truthful intentions. Do not impersonate anyone.
Report responsibly
Report genuine safety, fraud, harassment, fake-profile or privacy concerns without retaliation.
Adults only: A person must be at least 18 years old to register or use member features. If a profile appears to belong to someone under 18, do not engage with it—report it promptly.

MaitriAdda should feel like a trustworthy social adda—not a random chat room or pressure-driven matching space.
Community mindset: Speak kindly, connect slowly, protect privacy and accept that every member controls their own pace.
Complete your profile honestly.
Use accurate, respectful details and photos that you have the right to use.
Send respectful connection requests.
Keep requests simple, relevant and pressure-free.
Respect decline, silence and blocking.
Do not contact someone through another account or channel to bypass their choice.
Protect personal information.
Build trust before sharing contact, location, identity or financial details.
Keep events accurate and safe.
Hosts must provide clear venue, timing, capacity and material-change information.
Use reporting in good faith.
Provide relevant context and avoid exaggerated, retaliatory or knowingly false reports.
No fake, stolen or deceptive identity.
Do not impersonate others, use copied photos, or present misleading AI-generated or materially altered media as real.
No harassment, stalking or repeated pressure.
Do not repeatedly message, follow, intimidate or bypass a decline, block or account restriction.
No unwanted romantic or sexual pressure.
Do not send explicit content, make coercive requests or continue personal advances after discomfort or refusal.
No threats, hate or degrading abuse.
Threats, humiliation, discriminatory attacks and targeted intimidation are prohibited.
No privacy violations or doxxing.
Do not publish addresses, phone numbers, private messages, screenshots or identifying details without permission.
No scams, money requests or financial schemes.
Do not request transfers, deposits, gift cards, crypto, loans, investment participation or payment credentials.
No spam, scraping or unauthorised promotion.
Mass messaging, bots, data harvesting, referral spam and repeated business promotion are not allowed.
No malicious links or account-access tricks.
Do not send phishing, malware, fake-login, remote-control or credential-collection links.
No underage accounts or adult-minor contact.
Members must be 18+. Suspected underage profiles must be reported and not engaged with.
No illegal or seriously unsafe activity.
Do not use MaitriAdda to organise, advertise or facilitate unlawful conduct or dangerous exploitation.

Behaviour that breaks trust
Conduct that makes another person feel unsafe, pressured, deceived, exposed or exploited can lead to moderation action.
Important: Serious safety risks may lead to immediate temporary restrictions while a review is completed. A report itself is not automatic proof of wrongdoing.

How the rules apply across MaitriAdda
Each feature has its own purpose, but the same standards of honesty, consent, privacy and safety apply everywhere.
Profile rules
Keep profiles truthful and respectful. Do not publish contact details, private addresses, copied images or deceptive claims.
Connection rules
Send relevant requests patiently. A decline, cancellation, silence or block must be respected without workaround contact.
Messaging rules
Messaging is for accepted connections. Keep chat polite, lawful, pressure-free and free from explicit or manipulative content.
Reporting rules
Report genuine concerns with useful context. Do not weaponise reports for revenge, competition or personal disagreement.
Event rules
Hosts need eligibility and admin approval. Misleading venues, hidden charges, unsafe changes or participant pressure are prohibited.
Account eligibility
Member features are for adults aged 18 or above. Suspended, blocked or duplicate misuse accounts may not bypass restrictions.
Safety and dignity for every member
MaitriAdda applies the same boundaries and safety standards to everyone. Harassment directed at women, vulnerable members or any person targeted because of identity or circumstance is treated seriously according to context and evidence.
Respect comfort, boundaries and silence.
No one owes a reply, meeting, personal detail or explanation.
Do not pressure for off-platform contact.
Phone numbers, social accounts and private meetings are always optional.
Report repeated or serious misconduct.
Members do not need to confront the other person before reporting or blocking.
Fair and proportionate moderation
MaitriAdda may review reports, relevant platform records, severity, context and account history before taking reasonable action. Immediate protective action may be used where a credible safety risk exists.
Warning or guidance.
Suitable for lower-risk or first-time concerns where correction is reasonable.
Feature or account restriction.
May be used for repeated misuse, investigation or immediate risk control.
Suspension or removal.
May apply to serious, repeated, deceptive, fraudulent or dangerous conduct.
Reports protect people—not personal rivalry
Report when MaitriAdda should review possible misuse. Block when you want immediate distance. Members must not threaten others with reports, coordinate false reports or retaliate against someone who raises a concern.
The reported member is not normally told who submitted the report, subject to lawful requirements.
Moderation may consider relevant messages, profile information, event records and prior safety history.
A report starts a review; it does not automatically establish guilt or guarantee a particular outcome.
Enforcement Process
What may happen after a concern is reported
The exact response depends on urgency, available evidence, safety impact, account history and applicable requirements.
Receive
The report or support complaint is recorded with the available context.
Protect
Urgent restrictions may be applied when needed to reduce immediate platform risk.
Review
Relevant evidence, context, severity and previous conduct may be considered.
Decide
The result may include no action, guidance, warning, restriction, suspension or removal.
Members may provide additional context or raise a formal grievance through MaitriAdda Support. Platform moderation does not replace emergency services, law enforcement or court processes.
Offline meeting and event caution
Profile completion, email verification, accepted connection or event approval does not verify a person’s identity, background, intentions or future behaviour. Meet in a public place, tell a trusted person, control your own travel and leave if the situation feels unsafe.
A good community is built by good people.
Connect patiently. Respect privacy. Use block and report tools early when something feels wrong.
